The Young Adventurers (originally published as the Riddle Series in 1997) is the “odd series out” on this Web site, in that it doesn’t involve any continuation novels at all. What it does involve is some heavy updating and rewriting of six books that were originally one-off novels. The books have been given new titles and entirely new characters. In all cases, the updates were carried out by Gillian Baverstock, the late eldest daughter of Enid Blyton. The titles are listed below, along with their original titles and publication dates. The “Riddle” versions of the series were published in 1997 and did not contain internal illustrations. The “Young Adventurers” versions were published in 2004 and are illustrated by Patricia Ludlow.
